He left, but he was planning to come back, and he was definitely looking forward to her reaction when he did…
A Much Needed Day Off
Karl Baker is a veteran living in Alexandria, VA. He was on a much-needed vacation, implemented by his officers. He had been working continuous 12-hour shifts, so when his officers told him he needed time off, he accepted it. He already planned what he’s going to do. He would sleep in every morning, eat out, explore the city with a drink in his hand. Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as planned…
Lunch Time
The sun is shining brightly through the curtains, but it wasn’t the reason why he woke up. Baker was woken up by his dog, who has been jumping on his bed and asking for breakfast. He began his day like this and went straight to a restaurant he hadn’t been to before. He didn’t expect this to be a terrible mistake.
Joining The Line
They looked at him like he was a criminal. Baker is used to being ignored and disregarded. He kept his real identity confidential most of the time, and only a few people really know who he is. Baker walked through the door and went to the cashier table. He was famished but chose to wait in line just like what a normal person would do.
Bad Choice
He usually ate for two. However, everyone knew he was a very picky eater. He is extremely choosy about what he ate. He usually takes so much time preparing and cooking and is always satisfied with the outcome. That’s why he thought the 45minute wait was justifiable. He was wrong.
Waiting For A Long Time
Even though Baker had to fall in line and wait for his turn to order, he was very patient and determined. He wasn’t expecting his patience to be tested today, but he chose to be nice. Finally, it’s Baker’s turn to order. He eagerly turned to the cashier, ready to order his meal. However, what happened after shocked him.
Not A Good Day
Baker politely greeted the cashier, but she responded by making a face. She looked tired, impatient, and angry. She was frantically chewing her gum, and it’s evident this is not her best day. Despite this, he smiled as he ordered his meal. He knew that there are ups and downs in life, and this day was probably one of her lows, so he tried to be as cooperative as possible. He even hoped for the best and tried to make her day better. However, it didn’t work.
Not Available
After Baker ordered his meal, the cashier told him that he couldn’t have that. He was disappointed, but he asked if there are other options he can choose from. The cashier told him that he couldn’t have his second choice. He scanned the list and attempted to order the last one on the menu. She rolled her eyes and repeated it, “You can’t have that.”
Poor Attitude
Baker is upset. He spent such a long time waiting for his turn to order. He wanted to get the meal that was on promo and offered at a special price. If he knew it was sold out, he wouldn’t have gone through all that trouble. Her attitude and demeanor only made it worse. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself, and asked if there was anything available on the menu he could order.
You Need To Leave
Once again, all he got was a disapproving look from her. She looked at him as if he was stupid or something. The restaurant already had misleading advertising, but he was still willing to order, but the cashier’s attitude made it hard to contain his anger.
Making A Scene
“That’s it!” Baker exclaimed. “May I talk to your manager?” he inquired calmly as he sat seated. She crossed from behind the counter on one side and shouted at someone in the back of the kitchen without saying anything. She returned Baker’s vacant stare, and a female appeared to answer his call. “What’s the matter here, sir?” she asks, looking at Baker. You’re impeding the ones in front of you.”
The Manager
Baker was able to pinpoint the source of the employee’s misbehavior. He knows that this is not something he would like at all. He was incensed by the demeaning suggestion that he was the cause of those ludicrous lines and politely clarified what had really happened, as well as how management could address the dilemma he sees in her organization. Her remark came as a complete surprise.
They Laughed Instead
Then a female cook approached the register to tell the boss, “You better take me off the line because I’m not serving him,” referring to Baker. He eventually decided to wait for the boss to act, but she started to chuckle. Baker informed the boss that if they did not treat their fellow consumers with dignity, drastic consequences would follow.
Men Like Him
Despite Baker’s wishes, she flatly declined to follow Baker’s advice. “I recognize that things did not go as planned for you today, sir, but that is life. Now, if you could just leave my establishment, that will be great. She scoffed, “I don’t represent men like you.” “Men like me?” says the narrator. Baker reacted. ‘Men like him,’ she said, so what did she mean?
Enough Is Enough
Baker is drained. He wouldn’t have been quite so sweet now. He wanted to talk with more authority in his discussion with her and assured her that he didn’t intend to harm her. Now he’s interrogating her to clarify what she said by “men like him,” but what she does next will contribute to a straightforward understanding of revenge in his mind.
Don’t Look Down On Me
Her attitude struck me as both cold and arrogant. “I don’t have to justify myself to anybody. “Get out of here until you trigger a ruckus,” she pleaded. He was used to people obeying commands, but not to those who disobeyed them. When people looked down on him, he felt insulted.
Without His Uniform
She had no idea who he was or what strength he possessed. It was obvious that she was apprehensive. He could see how people felt about him and thought he wasn’t wearing his uniform. They found this approach to be efficient. Baker knew he wouldn’t be handled as a senior citizen. When bystanders started to notice, he felt mistreated.
The Audacity
He continued to scan the room for the few ears and eyes that were paying attention to him. When he realized, nearly everybody in the restaurant was looking at him, his face flushed. He didn’t know anybody there, but he started to wonder whether any of the customers had seen him. They wouldn’t even think a restaurant would have the audacity to address him in this manner if they were.
Won’t Let It Go Unpunished
Baker chose to quit the restaurant without saying anything more. He was disappointed, furious, and humiliated by their behavior, which he could not let go unpunished. He will forget the unsettling start to his day in the uniform that means addressing and starting to represent others with dignity and come to grips with this horrible occurrence tomorrow during regular working hours. What would their reaction be then?
Man In Uniform
Baker returned to work the next day, dressed in his police chief’s uniform. He had a lot of stuff to do. He was concerned but vowed to himself that he would contact the restaurant and discover his real identity. He can’t hold still when watching them tremble in their boots.
With His Uniform On
Baker wanted to stop at the restaurant on his way back from some call-outs in the city. He parked his cruiser and pushed his way through the doorways, fortunate to have found the parking lot. His expression was stern. The atmosphere of his presence pervaded the whole restaurant. Baker was a tall, burly man who exuded authority when he wore his uniform.
All Smiles
They were all staring at him now, for all the right reasons. All the staff greeted him with a smile on his face and with respect. Both of the workers’ faces brightened, as did the guy at the checkout, who had been much more cautious. She welcomed him with a friendly smile that faded as she became more familiar with him. The manager demanded that the formalities for dumping be completed.
Where’s The Manager?
The cashier made a shaky plea to the boss. As a result, she started to move to the kitchen’s back door at that point and cried. She seemed to be more conscious of her demeanor now. Baker stood with one hand on his waist belt and the other on a radio device. He was cast in the role for obvious reasons. He waited for her to arrive, particularly when his radio call bleeped with officer alerts.

However, another boss was on the job at the time. Baker’s attempt to warn her of something irritated her, and she apologized right away. She has promised to publish an internal analysis of her coworker’s behavior. We will proceed to investigate the situation and, after this investigation, will take corrective action.” Thousands of users reacted angrily to the news, which went viral on Twitter and Facebook almost instantly, despite the establishment’s need to save face.

One enraged reader stated, “I don’t know why the offended officer doesn’t sue for $150,000. This is an awful behavior that can easily be considered a breach of customer rights.” At the same time, yet another took a more principled perception. “If I were a cop, I’d be way less concerned about these people who are openly anti-police than I would about someone quietly harboring resentment and handling my food.”

Instead of exacerbating the conflict, he disconnected and felt Baker “played the case well.” He was also stunned that such an incident happened in Alexandria since police officers are known for their friendly encounters with civilians and small businesses.

None of Feltham’s comments helped to calm the public’s rage. Thousands of messages were posted on the restaurant’s Facebook profile, grumpily informing them that they were absolutely boycotted and urging other customers to do the same. Following the attack, there was also discussion on social media regarding a theft from the restaurant. Baker, on the other hand, chose to keep his stance on this matter clear.
Two Wrongs Do Not Make A Right
As a result, he said that he is not in favor of ‘canceling society’ and would not like to see illegal activities occur in the restaurant. He also warns of attempting to dissuade the state from endorsing it. She praised the company’s “full-throated apologies for this tragic incident,” which she said she respected. But how will most law enforcement officers respond if it happened?

“Well, the first reaction as a police officer is indignation,” the chief of police said. “We’re going through a difficult period with our relationships with others right now, and to see one of my officers handled in that way unnecessarily – the first reaction is indignation, so you cool down a little.” A waitress intervened when she saw a related event developing.

The Couple
Brittany Spencer worked as a waitress for several years and thought she’d seen it all. About any kind of person came to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, because of Fat Joe’s Bar & Grill. However, she didn’t notice an old couple walking in the door at all.
They Looked Around The Diner
When they sat down, their expressions started to alter. Brittany could tell it was going to be difficult right away. The pair slapped their faces in frustration as they stared around the restaurant as if they were walking into their worst fear. This wasn’t a Michelin-starred diner, to be sure. The food, on the other hand, is fantastic.
She Smelled Something Awful
Brittany brushed off her initial observations. She hoped that her friendly nature would be able to cheer them up as well. All this, she had no idea how utterly incorrect she was. She contacted them and decided to sell the menus still. There hasn’t been a hello back when she began handing them menu products. The lady wrinkled her nose as though she had detected a foul odor.
Laughing At Another Customer
She stepped aside, and as she turned around, she saw the pair laughing hysterically at another customer on the restaurant’s side. Their bile was focused on a regular and still really friendly client.
In Deep Discussion
The two were engrossed in their chat, completely oblivious to the fact that Brittany was waiting for them at the next seat. Brittany’s ears were twitching, and she was listening intently to what they were doing. She was completely taken aback when she first heard what they were saying. How do they do this to anyone they didn’t really know?
Vile Judgment
They went to ask Brittany what she thought about the other “client” as she stepped up to them to begin approving their request. Brittany was questioned whether she knew it was as terrible and gross as they clearly said, and she had to wonder if anyone like that was permitted anywhere near the diner. Their wrinkled expressions were filled with nothing but disapproving judgment.
“I Can’t Serve You”
“Sorry, but I can’t serve you,” she said to the elderly couple before heading forward. And, unfortunately, I would differ from what you said.” Despite this, she did not simply give up and questioned her boss if the table might be given to another team member. Yet things were about to become much more complicated.
“Suck It Up Or Go Home”
Her boss flatly declined, advising her that she had no choice but to “suck it up or go home.” Brittany realized she couldn’t keep serving tables for people who had such negative attitudes toward people, let alone want to make one of her frequent customers feel uncomfortable. As a result, she snatched her bag and stormed through the house. But the ramifications of her actions were about to be revealed.
Everybody Is On Her Side
After work, Brittany wanted to post on what had just happened on Facebook. Many people praised Brittany for trying to save herself, and some even called the restaurant where the incident occurred. Brittany exhaled deeply as she shut off her monitor and tucked it into her bunk. She reasoned that everybody was by her side.
She Was Fired
The next day, management told Brittany that she had been shot! She took her laptop and went straight to Facebook after exploding with anger. She informed everybody about the dreadful growth. The reactions were ferocious. “However, I would still choose my values above my finances. “See ya!” she exclaimed. However, the restaurant’s founders have opposing viewpoints.
Neutral Approach Didn’t Work
According to the restaurant’s co-owner, Brittany was fired because she failed to do the work she was assigned. She said that she overheard a few conversations in which she disagreed during her time in the business and only got along and did her work. Their impartial strategy, though, did not calm the stormy seas.
Blind Eye
Brittany and several others have mentioned that it turned a blind eye to allow bigotry to occur with little or no reaction in the establishment, which she compares to simply speaking one’s own nasty terms.
